Fish collagen is more effective than collagens produced from skins of bred animals, due to a smaller size of its particles. In the supplement, the collagen is in a form of a water soluble polypeptide hydrolysate, of even lower molecular weight (2000 Da, on average). It is a source of amino acids, including exogenous, and their di- and tripeptides, which are well absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. After penetrating into the bloodstream, amino acids and peptides are distributed to the skin, cartilages and other connective tissue structures, where they are a substrate for the synthesis of the natural collagen type 1 and 2, induce the synthesis of hyaluronic acid, and stimulate growth and migration of fibroblasts. Fibroblasts are responsible for synthesis of collagen and other components of the connective tissue; their activity increases during processes of healing and regeneration of injured tissues. Collagen components improve the barrier function of the skin, improve its density, prevent dehydration and reduce symptoms of ageing. Furthermore, collagen in its hydrolysed form has a clinically proven action supporting treatment of inflammatory conditions of joints and bones, influencing normal function and regeneration of the articular cartilage, mainly by improving the proliferation of chondrocytes and stimulating the synthesis of proteoglycans, a structural component of the connective tissue.

Collagen used in the Collagen product is obtained from the skin of wild caught cod. 

Collagen used in our Collagen dietary supplement is obtained from fish skin. It is the type 1 collagen.

Collagen dietary supplement is intended for use in children over 12 years of age. 

The supplementation should last for about 3 months. After that period, a 1-2 month break is recommended.

Sharks are not executed for the sole purpose of obtaining chondroitin sulphate from their cartilage tissue. At the same time, plenty other ingredients are sourced, such as equally valuable shark liver oil, which is a source of alkylglycerols and squalane. Shark is also used in traditional Japanese or Scandinavian medicine. All fishing activities are performed under the surveillance of proper organisations protecting animal rights.

Collagen product is not a vegan product due to the use of products of animal origin such as: sea fish skin collagen, glucosamine sulphate from shellfish and chondroitin sulfate from shark
