ProCholterol® is a product composed of carefully selected ingredients of natural origin, which form a unique composition consistent with the principles of synergism.

ProCholterol® food supplement is a combination of the reserved ProCholterol® formula sourced from prickly pear leaves and extract from red yeast rice extract, Indian gooseberry fruit extract, phytosterols sourced from soybean seed oil extract and many other valuable ingredients of plant origin.

Ingredients:

Red yeast rice (including monacolin K)

is sourced in the rice fermentation process with some of yeast species (Monascus purpureus, M. pilosus, M. floridanus or M. ruber). During the fermentation process, the yeast enriches the rice with a complex of valuable substances, including polyketides such as monacolin. Depending on the fermentation type and the yeast species, different types of monacolin can be obtained (compactin, and monacolins M, L, J, X), and a subtype monacolin K.

Indian gooseberry fruit extract

Indian gooseberry is a plant known also as amla. This is one of the richest sources of natural vitamin C. Moreover, it is a perfect source of chromium, zinc, and copper.

Garlic extract

Garlic has been known in natural medicine for over 4,000 years. It contains flavonoids and is characterised by a significant concentration of organic sulfur accommodated in allin and scordinin. Garlic contains also other valuable ingredients, such as vitamin C, B vitamins and minerals (phosphorus and potassium).

ProCholterol®

(reserved formula sourced from prickly pear leaves) - prickly pear (also known as Indian fig and cactus pear) is a type of cactus native to e.g. Mexico, but also cultivated in various other warm places across the world - including Southern Europe (e.g. Italy). Prickly pear fruits, as well as its leaves and flowers are edible. Prickly pear contains plenty of valuable vitamins, e.g. vitamin C, B vitamins, vitamin A and vitamin E. Prickly pear is also a wonderful natural source of fibre that is so valuable for our digestive system.

Gynostemma pentaphyllum

this plant is called a 'herb of immortality' and five-leaf ginseng. It originated in Asia, but it can be also cultivated successfully in Poland.Gynostemma is a rich source of B vitamins, as well as vitamins A, C, D and E. Moreover, the herb contains also valuable minerals, such as magnesium, phosphorus, iron, zinc, manganese, selenium, potassium and calcium. Glycosides should also be noted. Gynostemma pentaphyllum contains several time more glycosides than popular ginseng. The plant contains also flavonoids, saponins, sterols, polysaccharides and plenty of amino acids.

Phytosterols

plant sterols are plant-produced structural and functional cholesterol analogs. Phytosterols constitute therefore an important ingredient of a balanced diet. These can be found in any plant tissue, but vegetable oils are particularly rich in them. Soybean seeds contain 18–20% oil, expressed as dry weight; soybean oil is has an advantageous ratio of unsaturated to saturated fatty acids. Moreover, soy contains many valuable phytocompounds, including phytosterols (mainly sitosterol and stigmasterol). Phytosterol-rich diet goes perfectly in line with rational approach to nutrition based on plant-sourced products and reducing the amount of cholesterol from animal products.

Bacopa monnieri extract

bacopa monnieri, also known as brahmi, is a herb with a wide range of properties, including adaptogenic. The following may be listed among its active ingredients: triterpenes belonging to steroid saponins: bacosides, bacopasides and bacosaponins, as well as antioxidative polyphenols and health promoting phytosterols.
